The Recent Plants List is a subset of the thousands of plants available within the CASI. The example shown below displays the Recent Plants quick-select list at the bottom of the Point Intercept screen.

Selecting the Names option in the bottom left corner will expand the full Recent Plants screen. The full screen displays the plant symbol, its scientific name, and its common name. Selecting Sci/Com will reverse the order of the scientific and common name listing next to the plant symbol.

Updating the Recent Plants List

Automatically

The Recent Plants List is updated automatically as additional plants are selected from Search within in the protocol screens during data collection. Searches may be conducted by selecting Symbol, Scientific, or Common in the drop-down box next to the search box. Begin typing in the symbol or name and the displayed selection list begins the search. The plant may be selected from the displayed list.

Manually

The Recent Plants List can also be updated before data collection by selecting Recent Plants from the Tools menu while the point is closed. Note that this option is underneath the highlighted Config option in the picture shown below.

To add plants from the Recent Plants List, select Add and search for a plant by common name, plant symbol, or scientific name. Selecting a plant will add it to the Recent Plants List.

To delete plants from the Recent Plants List, check the box next to the plant symbol you wish to delete and select Delete checked.

The maximum number of plants on the Recent Plants List may be selected on the bottom right side of the screen. Once the maximum is reached, only the most recently used plants are kept in the list.
