The Grazing Land CASI plant database is based on the NRCS plants database from 2013. It includes all plants with the exception of subspecies (exception - sage), varietals and hybrids. Synonyms are included for any included plants.

The following protocols require plant name entry:

• Point Transect (Line Point Intercept)
• Plant Height
• Species composition by weight (Non-federal range only)
• Dry Weight Rank (optional)
• Plant Census

Plant Lists make the selection of plants easier during the collection process. One, the Recent Plants List, is automatically created for you to use. Custom Plant Lists are optional but may prove useful.
